eSchoolPLUS Teacher Preferences

The teacher preferences option gives you control over certain areas of the eSchoolPLUS gradebook. To view and modify these settings follow the steps below.

Changing these settings as recommended below will display:

  • all assignment scores recorded from the beginning of the semester
  • class grades calculated from the beginning of the semester.
1. Login to the eSchoolPLUS gradebook and look for "Teacher Preferences" in the left hand menu.
 
2. Click on "Teacher Preferences".
 

3. The settings in this menu apply to all classes. Click on the "Edit" link to modify these settings.

4. There are three options available on the Teacher Preferences menu:

Override Average

Checking this box gives you the option to overwrite the numerical average on the Scores page. An overwritten average will have a green background.

Should you choose to overwrite an average please record the actual average for your record keeping.

Display All Tab

This will display the "All" tab on the Scores page. The "All" tab displays assignment scores for the current grading period only. The grade shown is base solely on the assignment scores recorded for the current grading period. It does not display grades calculated from the beginning of the semester.

We suggest that you leave this box unchecked and select the RPT tab from the default selected tab menu.

Default Selected Tab

We suggest that you select the RPT-Report Period option from this menu. Once selected, the view on the "Scores" page will always default to RPT tab and show:

  • all assignment scores recorded from the beginning of the semester
  • class grades calculated from the beginning of the semester.

However, you may select any category as the default view for your classes. Note that any category other than "RPT" will not show a cumulative grade.

5. After you have modified the Teacher Preferences menu be sure to click the "Save" link on the menu.
